NHLA Convention & Exhibit Showcase 2019

This year’s NHLA Annual Convention in New Orleans, Louisiana was a great hit. Sponsors, exhibitors, and attendees made this show one of our best shows yet. System TM and MiCROTEC attended the NHLA Annual Convention & Exhibit Showcase together in early October.

The NHLA Annual Convention is the largest gathering of the hardwood lumber industry in North America. Now in its 122nd year, it brought together virtually every aspect of the hardwood lumber industry. ‘‘It was a great show. I would say that many customers are starting to realize that scanning technology is the future, which wasn’t the case a few years ago. Finding skilled lumber graders is becoming a real problem, and this is where the scanner comes in. It’ll be interesting to see what happens in the next year’’, says Jean-Luc Croteau, Area Sales Manager of North America at System TM.

Mokkiten 2019

Held in Nagoya, Japan, Mokkiten aims to promote the rationalization of manufacturing processes in the woodworking industry by presenting superior woodworking machinery, forest machinery, and other related products from all over the world. At this year’s Mokkiten, System TM and MiCROTEC presented a demo line consisting of an Opti-Kap 5103 cross-cut saw and a MiCROTEC scanner. The demo line received excellent response from visitors and the show was a good opportunity to demonstrate System TM’s expertise in the Japanese market.
