The World’s Leading Trade Fair for Woodworking and Wood Processing Exceeds Its High Standards

With a strong international appeal and a net exhibition space equivalent to 19 football fields, LIGNA is indeed the world’s largest trade fair for woodworking and wood processing. This year’s LIGNA show delivered a powerful boost to the entire industry and a top performance as a driver of new business, trends and innovations. Boasting an array of smart technologies, automated solutions, and machines in live action, LIGNA revealed what the future holds for the woodworking and wood processing industry.

A total of 1,500 exhibitors from 50 nations presented their impressive solutions, making innovations tangible and easy to grasp for users from every sector of the industry. More than 90,000 visitors from 100 nations attended this five-day show. Over 40,000 visitors came from abroad, which is an indication of LIGNA’s international appeal, and an achievement unmatched by any competing tradeshow in the world.

Memories from LIGNA 2019:

Interest in integration and automation continues to grow

This year’s LIGNA made it amply clear that there’s major emphasis on integrated solutions and automation, and that the interest in advanced technology is growing rapidly worldwide. As a result, automated, integrated, and efficient wood solutions were at the top of System TM’s agenda at LIGNA. ‘‘By showcasing an Opti-Solution manufacturing line in live action, we demonstrated how our integrated machinery adds significant value to production processes and increases productivity and efficiency’’, says Per Jørgensen, CSO of System TM. The Opti-Solution consisted of an array of machines and options from both System TM and System TM’s scanner partner, MiCROTEC.

Outstanding turnout at System TM’s booth

The frequent daily demos of System TM machinery in live action attracted many curious crowds to the booth. System TM experienced a visitor increase compared to the previous LIGNA show; particularly in the number of South American and Asian visitors in comparison with the entire venue. ’’System TM enjoyed receiving many repeat visits and long visit durations, which is clear evidence that people are drawn to our stand, as well as what we have to offer’’, says Per.

After five action-packed days in which many viable sales leads and potential business collaborations were generated, System TM can now look back on a remarkably successful LIGNA 2019 show. With its abundant opportunities for promoting System TM and building brand awareness, LIGNA is a show we always await with anticipation, and we can’t wait to see what LIGNA 2021 has in store for us!

Tech Tour in Denmark

System TM hosted a Tech Tour event right after LIGNA, in which overseas customers were invited to visit System TM in Denmark and see the company’s production facilities and a state-of-the-art System TM line at a leading windows manufacturer in Denmark, Outline Vinduer. The main objective of this 2-day event was to give customers more insight into how System TM lines are made and to connect with customers and discuss their manufacturing processes. ’’Tech Tour is a great way for our guests to get a better understanding of our company and learn first-hand how our production lines are made. We would like to thank all the attendees for sparing their valuable time for this event and for making Tech Tour such a great success!’’, says Per.
